A449 Stafford Road Works Notification
We have been notified of works by West Midlands Interchange – A449 Stafford Road traffic management
There is an upcoming traffic management as part of the West Midlands
Interchange development. The construction of two new laybys on the A449 Stafford Road to
replace the eastbound and westbound laybys on the A5 Watling Street, has recently been
completed.
As part of the post-construction work, Winvic will be completing essential vegetation clearance
and planting work. For the safety of road users and their workforce, they will be installing
daytime lane closures on the A449 Stafford Road during the following dates:
• Monday 17 November to Friday 21 November: Northbound carriageway lane 1
closure
• Monday 24 November to Friday 28 November: Southbound carriageway lane 2
closure
Working hours will be
8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. There may be some occasions where they will need to work
on Saturdays. Where this is required, their working hours will be from 9am to 1pm.
They would like to reassure you that Winvic and all involved in the project will ensure any
disruption to road users and local businesses is minimised. Please be aware you may see
their workforce on site up to one hour before and one hour after these times to set up and
secure our equipment
