Community Governance Review
Community Governance Review 2025/26
South Staffordshire Council is launching a Community Governance Review across the district starting 1st July 2025. This review focuses on how parish councils are set up and governed locally – separate from any wider Local Government Reorganisation consultation.
Parish councils play an important role in managing local services like community centres, allotments, and war memorials. The review aims to ensure these councils remain effective, fair, and representative of their communities.
We invite all residents, parish councils, community groups, and interested stakeholders to share their views through our online survey (printed copies available on request by emailing [email protected] or visiting us at the Codsall Community Hub). Your feedback will help decide if parish boundaries, council sizes, electoral arrangements, or parish groupings should change. Please note, all representations are required by law to be published but, if you are an individual, your name and contact details will not be published.
For more information please visit South Staffordshire District Council Community Governance Review 2025 webpage.
This survey closes at midnight on Tuesday, 30th September 2025. After this, the council will consider all responses and prepare draft recommendations.
