West Midlands Interchange – Upcoming traffic management on A5 Watling Street

Information has been received from the West Midlands Interchange on the ongoing construction of the new access roundabout on the A5 Watling Street, we will shortly be installing the main underground electricity cable crossing beneath the
carriageway.
The works will involve excavating a trench across the A5 carriageway to install the cable
infrastructure, followed by the reinstatement of the carriageway and its underlying sub
formation.
To ensure the safety of road users and our workforce, these works will require a full
overnight closure of A5 Watling Street in both directions between A449/A5 Gailey
Roundabout and M6 Junction 12 from. This work will take place from 8pm on Saturday 5
September to 10am on Sunday
