Winne has been a councillor since May 2018.

Winnie moved to Wheaton Aston 45 years ago and brought up her family here. Winnie’s grandchildren now enjoy our lovely village when she cares for them. Winnie has been involved in village life in many ways over the years as Secretary of the W.I., Chair of Governors at St Marys First School and Chair of the PTA. A Governor at Brewood Middle School and at Wolgarston High School and helped to start up the Beaver Group in the early 1990s. When she moved to the village in 1979 Winnie’s career was in merchant banking, but after her son was born she decided to take a career break. Winnie then spent 20 years working in schools, the last 10 being at Brewood Middle School and as a guide and member of the ticket office team at Shugborough Hall. When she retired Winnie wanted to be more involved in the village again and became a member of the Parish Council.
