Lapley, Stretton and Wheaton Aston Parish Council joins the nation in mourning the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. Since his marriage to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, he has dedicated his life to serving the Nation and supporting Her Majesty throughout her reign.
During the current lockdown the Parish Council arrangements may unfortunately be restricted. Lapley, Stretton and Wheaton Aston Parish Council’s mourning protocol will follow that issued by Her Majesty in close liaison with South Staffordshire Council.
Due to the ongoing pandemic an online book of condolence has been opened, you can sign this at the British Monarchy website: www.royal.uk/books-condolence
In keeping with the request of the Royal Household there will not be provisions made for the laying of flower tributes within the district.
Information on donations is available on the British Monarch page should anyone wish to do so
