Penpals Wanted for our Sister Links

Did you know that Wheaton Aston is twinned with Wheaton, Illinois (USA)? 🤝🇬🇧🇺🇸
This long-standing friendship between our two communities is being celebrated with a new Penpal Initiative.

Residents are invited to connect with people from our sister city by exchanging letters or emails. It’s a great opportunity to share stories about daily life, local traditions, hobbies, community events, and culture on both sides of the Atlantic.

Participants will be matched with penpals in similar age groups to help people connect more easily:
• Children & teenagers – school life, sports and hobbies
• Young adults – work, study and travel
• Adults & families – community news and culture
• Older residents – memories, life stories and experiences

The aim is to build lasting friendships, encourage cultural exchange, and help younger generations learn about the special connection between our two towns.

If you’d like to take part, you’ll simply need to register your name, age group, and preferred way to communicate (post or email) so organisers can match you with a suitable penpal.
