Safer Internet Day 2024

This Safer Internet Day 2024, we are sharing sources of information to help support children and young people.

Featuring characters and messages from the CEOP Education Jessie & Friends resource, the new 4-7s website helps children to develop the skills and knowledge they need to help them stay safer when spending time online.

Designed for children to visit at home with their parents and carers, users complete ‘badges’ where they help the characters, Jessie, Tia and Mo, to identify when to ‘Tell a Grown Up’ (TAG) in different online situations.

And for children age 8-10 try Band Runner

Marston Field Play Area

We are planning to renovate the Marston Field Play Area, and would like your views. We especially would like to hear from young people to understand the play equipment that they would like as this play area is for children aged 8 and upwards.
We are not able to look at any other projects, such as goal posts, or the dog walk at this time as we need to replace the play equipment.

Community Sharepoint

There are still families in our villages in dire need of support this winter. Community Sharepoint Boxes have been set up in the Spar to help support families through St Mary’s Academy. Please give what you can and take what you need.

Staffordshire Police: Speed Aware

Stay Speed Aware and Keep our Villages Safe.

Staffordshire Police is running a Speed Aware campaign to encourage all road users to travel at a safe speed for the road conditions.

Speeding increases the chance of a collision occurring, putting all road users at risk. The faster a vehicle is traveling, the greater the stopping distance, for example, if you are travelling at 50 mph it will take 53 metres to stop, that’s the length of an Olympic swimming pool.

In poor weather conditions such as rain or ice, your stopping distances will increase, so always take account of this in your driving and slow down for the weather conditions. You should always leave enough distance between you and the vehicle in front.
